PRELIMINARY ROUND OF IC DESIGN CONTEST FOR SMART CITIES 1st 2023

🔎 To evaluate and select typical projects to continue participating in implementation, training, and product improvement programs, the Preliminary Round of the 1st IC Design Contest for Smart Cities in 2023 was held on the morning of March 24, 2024, within the framework of the 2024 Youth Festival.
🗣 At the event, Dr. Le Quoc Cuong – Deputy Head, Saigon Hi-Tech Park Management Board shared the adoption of the contest to find ideas about semiconductor circuits from young people. This is an important premise to expand the scale and quality of human resource training according to business needs, towards owning core technologies, incubating microchip businesses and attracting strategic investment projects in the future. field operating in Saigon High-Tech Park.
📌 29 project teams from leading universities in technology training across the country competed enthusiastically in the Preliminary Round with contest products targeting 02 main field groups: application-oriented project products. Project numbers and products aim to propose an IC core integrated in a larger application.
👉 Based on the evaluation of criteria of ideas, implementation methods, techniques and technology… and are encouraged to present outstanding initiatives and creative points in the research and development process of their projects, the Organizing Committee selected 17 best project groups to pass the preliminary round and advance to the Training – Deployment Round, held at Saigon High-Tech Park. Competition teams will be trained by experts who are lecturers and engineers with experience in the field of semiconductor circuits at many institutes, schools and large domestic and foreign enterprises.
🌟 Within the framework of the program, the Talkshow “Semiconductor ICs – Shaping the Future” took place with sharing from leading and reputable experts and scientists in the field of semiconductor ICs in Vietnam about The development potential of today’s semiconductor chip industry, new trends, career opportunities and emerging challenges
