Launching ceremony of the 1st Circuit Design Competition for Smart Cities in 2023

With the chairmanship of Saigon Hi-Tech Park Management Board, in coordination with the Ho Chi Minh City Youth Union, Ho Chi Minh City Department of Science and Technology, Ho Chi Minh City Department of Information and Communications, Ho Chi Minh City National University, the 1st Circuit Design Competition for Smart Cities in 2023 was officially launched on November 25, 2023, by the Center for Youth Science and Technology Development, Saigon Hi-tech Park Incubation Center, The Training Center of Saigon Hi-tech Park and Research Laboratories of Saigon Hi-tech Park to implement.

At the ceremony, Mr. Le Quoc Cuong – Deputy Head, Management Board of Saigon Hi-tech Park said that the success of the semiconductor chip industry is a “support” for the development of the industry electronics in particular and the economy in general, at the same time emphasizing the increasingly important role of the semiconductor chip industry in the digital transformation revolution, green transformation, knowledge economy, replacing previous development model based on natural resources.

The Microchip Design Competition for Smart Cities is organized with the desire to become a real bridge, creating opportunities and conditions to receive ideas, designs and implement IC products from students and trainees at universities, colleges, and institutes nationwide who are passionate about IC design, have ideas, projects, and applied research topics aimed at serving relevant fields demand for semiconductor microchips.

Contest organization time: from November 2023 to June 2024, specifically:

– Contest launching ceremony: November 25, 2023

– Preliminary round: December 2023

– Deployment and training round: from January 2024 to May 2024

– Final round and award ceremony: June 2024
