PRELIMINARY ROUND – THE 3RD IC DESIGN COMPETITION FOR SMART CITY

After two days of competition, the Preliminary Round has concluded with polished presentations, creative ideas, and strong youthful energy, marking the first stage of the 3rd Smart City IC Design Competition.

August 15 – Undergraduate Category: Teams presented solutions addressing key challenges in modern urban development, including energy, environment, healthcare, IoT, and signal processing. Beyond the ideas themselves, many teams demonstrated solid preparation in technology, design methodology, and product feasibility.

August 16 – High School Category: Despite their age, student teams showed notable initiative in engaging with new technologies. Many ideas, though simple, were closely tied to everyday life and reflected a strong spirit of learning and logical thinking.

What did both categories have in common?

A willingness to think boldly and act decisively, turning ideas into solutions. Each team brought a distinct perspective, together expanding the range of possible applications for integrated circuits in the smart cities of the future.

Notably, the Undergraduate Category Preliminary Round for the Central region took place on 22nd of July with a lively atmosphere, organized by the Danang Semiconductor and AI Center (DSAC).
