SMART CITY 2025: OFFICIALLY LAUNCHED
On October 3rd, 2025, Saigon Hi-tech Park Incubation Center (SHTP-IC) officially announced the launch of the Smart City 2025 Competition – Initiatives for Smart City Development. The competition is organized with the close collaboration and sponsorship of HDFPV One Member Limited Liability Company.
At the ceremony, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Lê Quốc Cường – Deputy Head, Management Board of Saigon Hi-tech Park, emphasized that the global landscape is undergoing a profound transformation toward a green economy and digital transformation. In this context, the development of new technological solutions and breakthrough initiatives must closely align innovation with smart urban development, in pursuit of an ambitious goal: transforming the city into a leading smart, green, sustainable, and innovation-driven urban center in the region.

In addition to providing detailed information on the two competition tracks — the Startup Project Track and the Student Dronesoccer Track—the event also featured keynote presentations by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyễn Hồng Quân, Director of the Institute for Circular Economy Development Research (ICED), and Mr. Bùi Quốc Anh, Director of the Vietnam National University – HCMC Data Center. Their presentations addressed dual transformation, circular economy development, and workforce demand in the unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) sector, offering multidimensional insights into current and emerging development trends.
The Smart City 2025 Competition is now officially open for registration, welcoming project teams and enterprises with digital transformation and green transformation solutions across key domains of smart city development.
