Preservatives used in chili sauce are now quite popular. Benzoic acid is an additive used in a Vietnamese brand of chili sauce exported to Japan and is the reason why this product is recalled in this country.
To protect the health of consumers as well as the environment, TPH’s manufacturers will be inclined to produce and use biological preservatives and biological colorants. However, natural preservatives and colorants are often difficult to use on an industrial scale due to their high cost, poor colorfastness, and lack of color consistency.
Therefore, TPH team have been creating chili sauce using biological preservatives and coloring products. The team aim to evaluate the active ingredients in the fermentation extract, which have antimicrobial and anti-aging effects when converted to acetic acid, creating food preservatives and real colorants. The product has the effect of inhibiting microbial activity, preventing food spoilage, thereby extending the shelf life of food.
In the period of 2019-2020, TPH has introduced the first product line in the goal of conquering domestic and foreign markets with 2 products:
- Biological preservatives from cat apple and tomato fermented fluid
- Bio-coloring agents from cat apple fermenting fluid and red dragon fruit peel
With the launch of these 2 products, TPH believes in the direction and success in the future.
In addition, TPH also researches and develops garlic essence products used in seafood and livestock – poultry feeding. This technology is also used in juice products for the purpose of preserving products, health and safety for users.
